FAQ

Everything you wanted to know about MAO

Mechanics

How many MAOs are out there?

There will only be 8,888 MAOs ever, gradually dropped into a pool before they are mintable.

Where is the artwork stored?

We pin every Mao image and metadata onto IPFS (example). The resulting hashes live on Ethereum mainnet, referenced by a unique token ID — so you mint the artwork from the Mint page.

What is the mint price?

MAOs mint from 0.08Ξ to 2.8Ξ. Once a price is set for a token it never changes — keep randomizing or check secondary markets like OpenSea.

What happens after I mint?

The NFT lands in your wallet and shows up on every ERC-721-aware marketplace. See it on the Wallet page, or check Mao #1 on OpenSea / Rarible.

What can I do with MAO?

Give it a name (or an evil one), broadcast a message on Ethereum, trade it like any NFT, or just show it off. Long-term, MAO is designed to be a utility token that keeps generating fortunes for its holders.

$FORTUNE

What is $FORTUNE?

$FORTUNE is an ERC-20 token earned by your MAOs. It funds operations that modify them. A freshly minted MAO comes with 888 $FORTUNE, and the claimable amount grows daily.

How much $FORTUNE can I accumulate?

Daily yield is (18 × EARNINGS_MULTIPLIER ÷ 100), where EARNINGS_MULTIPLIER is between 100 and 255. A MAO with multiplier 120 earns 21.6 tokens daily; at 255, it earns 45.9.

How much does it cost to modify my MAO?

88 $FORTUNE for a message, 888 for a name, 8,888 to upgrade the multiplier.

Where can I get more $FORTUNE?

It's an ERC-20 — swappable on Uniswap, Sushiswap, and other DEXes. There may be more exotic strategies; we leave that to you.
